70 Days of Lockdown

Sunday May 17th marked mine and Pam’s 70th day of being in quarantine mode. Thankfully, we have been able to get out and go to Walmart, post office and to Kroger, but that’s it. Straight to the store and straight back. We’ve seen our kids twice but haven’t hugged them with a good tight hug since Christmas. Yes, I know I don’t have it as bad as some others have it; at least we can get out and drive somewhere if we get too claustrophobic while many of our friends in other countries of the world can’t get out of their homes at all. If they do, they are arrested, beaten, put in jail, fined an enormous amount of money, or all the above.

It’s obvious by some news reports online that some politicians and authorities may be taking advantage of the current situation and violating our constitutional rights. When something this drastic takes place there are always those dictatorial officials that attempt to push the envelope and see what they can get away with before being sued in court. It causes me to say “What?” when the church is no longer considered an essential business. (and that is a subject for another day). It bothers me that it’s been reported some mosques have been opened while most churches by and large have been compliant & closed. Even those who have been screaming about our rights being violated, have somewhat complied and closed sporadically.

I am troubled though by a nagging thought that something fishy is going on behind the scenes we are not being told about. I am NOT a conspiracy theorist and I certainly don’t believe many of the things that are brandished about the internet these days. But I DO KNOW there are people and organizations in the world that would love nothing better than for the entire church world to either go away or be completely forced out of existence. Could this all be a warm up; a training exercise to see how people will respond when that time comes in which governments may force people into their homes worldwide as the antichrist restricts movement in every nation in order to install a one world system of government, economics and religion that will cause us to have to choose where our allegiance lies?

I believe so.

While I don’t believe this is the beginning of the tribulation period, this is definitely a period of increased birth pains in which all of creation is crying out for Messiah to come forth. When the tribulation sets in, and especially when the wrath of God is being poured out on the earth, there will be NO POSSIBILITY of a vaccine, no government help, and no relief in sight. This time we are in now is definitely a time in which the earth is crying louder than ever for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Now would be a great time for you to take inventory of your life and ask yourself are you ready for eternity? You say, “preacher, I don’t believe in God, Jesus or a life after this life!” That’s still extremely funny because when the lockdown began, the most Googled word on the internet was the word “prayer”.

You only get one life. You have one heart and one brain. If either of them goes out, what if your unbelief in God is wrong? If I’m wrong and there is no God, I have not hurt anyone, no one has made me drink any poisoned Kool aid, and all I have done is spend my life in an attempt to help people improve their lives. But what if you are wrong…………?
